Giorgos had his first encounter with photography at the 18+ Photography Team in 2006 and graduated from the Focus School of Art Photography in 2007.
Today, based outside of Athens, he works as a photojournalist for some of the most renowned Greek magazines. His work has been published in Time Magazine, Panorama, Die Zeit, Der Spiegel, and The New York Times.
Giorgos has received various awards, among them first prize at the Young Greek Photographers Contest, as well as a Unesco Award. In 2009, he was nominated for the Joop Swart Master class. He has dedicated the last three years to a long-term project on immigration.
