Giorgos had his first encounter with photography at the 18+ Photography Team in 2006 and graduated from the Focus School of Art Photography in 2007.

His work has been published in Time Magazine, Panorama, Die Zeit, Der Spiegel, and The New York Times. Giorgos has received various awards, among them the first prize at the Young Greek Photographers Contest, as well as an Unesco Award. In 2009, he was nominated for the Joop Swart Master class and in 2010, he won the 1st prize at the Vilnius Photo Festival.

His work has been presented at the Lodz Photo Festival, at Photography Days Istanbul and at the Humankind /New York Festival. Giorgos has worked in Kosovo, Gaza Strip, Turkey, Egypt, Tunisia and Haiti. He has dedicated the last three years to a long-term project on immigration.
