Dimitris graduated from the Focus School of Art Photography in 2005. His project, "NATO Avenue", initiated in 2004, marked the beginning of his photography career.

Soon he began collaborating with newspaper Kathimerini and the weekly supplement magazine K. Since May 2009, he also works with the weekly supplement magazine "E" of newspaper Eleftherotypia.

In 2003, he participated in the exhibition entitled "Close" at the European Parliament in Brussels. In 2005, he had his first solo exhibition in the "Month of Photography" during the Athens Biennale. In 2008, international agency Gamma chose his Kosovo-based project "Old School" to be exhibited in the Cultural Olympics in Shen Yang (Gen).

Alongside his professional activities in Greece, Dimitris has traveled extensively around the world and especially in the ex-Soviet Union region.
